11 Stocks That May Be Cheaper Than You Think

Small time investors often look past stocks where the share price costs as much as a new phone. The share price can inaccurately signal a rich valuation. However, many mature stocks have even greater shareholder value and less volatility than the typical low price and penny stocks.

In this screen we look at only the most expensive, oft-passed over stocks on the market that are actually cheap on a relative basis. We sorted through stocks that have a price tag over $100 but a P/E below 15. Finally, to sweeten deal, we screened only for companies paying out dividends.

Average P/E or POP (price of profit) of this list is 11. A quick comparison of this list's dividend yields using Kapitall's Compar-O-Matic:

We all know AAPL is pricey but each share yields $12 in dividends every year; that's practically a free lunch!

 

2. International Business Machines Corp. (IBM, Earnings, Analysts, Financials): Provides information technology (IT) products and services worldwide. Market cap at $227.1B, most recent closing price at $204.82. P/E at 14.13 and Dividend Yield at 1.66%.

 

 

 

3. CNOOC Ltd. (CEO, Earnings, Analysts, Financials): Engages in the exploration, development, production, and sale of crude oil, natural gas, and other petroleum products. Market cap at $85.99B, most recent closing price at $192.60. P/E at 8.34 and Dividend Yield at 3.85%.

 

 

 

4. The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS, Earnings, Analysts, Financials): Provides investment banking, securities, and investment management services to corporations, financial institutions, governments, and high-net-worth individuals worldwide. Market cap at $69.24B, most recent closing price at $150.26. P/E at 10.34 and Dividend Yield at 1.33%.

 

 

5. PetroChina Co. Ltd. (PTR, Earnings, Analysts, Financials): Produces and distributes oil and gas in the People's Republic of China. Market cap at $241.64B, most recent closing price at $132.03. P/E at 13.19 and Dividend Yield at 3.25%.

 

 

 

6. Chevron Corporation (CVX, Earnings, Analysts, Financials): Engages in petroleum, chemicals, mining, power generation, and energy operations worldwide. Market cap at $239.13B, most recent closing price at $123.36. P/E at 9.32 and Dividend Yield at 3.24%.

 

 

 

7. Cummins Inc. (CMI, Earnings, Analysts, Financials): Designs, manufactures, distributes, and services diesel and natural gas engines, electric power generation systems, and engine-related component products worldwide. Market cap at $21.82B, most recent closing price at $115.01. P/E at 14.78 and Dividend Yield at 1.74%.
